2007 District Speak-Off Contest

The Colusa County Resource Conservation District held their Annual High School Speak-Off Contest on Wednesday October 3rd at 7:00 pm.  This year’s theme was “RCD’s and Youth – Conservation for the Future”.  Victoria Hogan from Maxwell High School received a $30.00 prize for coming in second place with her speech, and Alyssa Sankey from Colusa High School received $50.00 for coming in first place.

Alyssa continued on to the Regional Speak-Off contest on October 19, 2007.  The contest was held at the Orland Memorial Hall on 3rd Street in Orland from 12:30 to 1:30PM.  Information on how Alyssa did is on the 2007 Regional Speak-Off page.
